Hey, quick question for you! I think I’m going to attend the 24h of LeMans this year since I’ve got a free weekend and 80 euros burning my pocket, I can get a train out of my town in Germany Friday night to Le Mans and it’s only about 6 hours. I read your post from a few years ago, any other tips off the top of your head for spending friday, saturday, and early sunday in the town?

We were at the track the entire time and didn’t see much of the town. I do know there are places to get a quick beer while waiting for the train at the square.

Really, the biggest tips are to be ready for the weather, bring TP and have a big battery back so you can charge your phone. I think they are saying it will be hot, but you never know.

Are you arriving Saturday morning and do you have a grandstand seat?

Arriving Friday night and haven’t gotten my tickets yet but they still are available. Don’t think I’ll get a grandstand seat though.

You should be able to get into the stands Saturday night and get sleep there if you need to. Not sure about Friday night. Food around the track is pretty good. We found a sandwich shop in town before the race and grabbed some snacks for a bit cheaper. Be sure to be clear where the ticket office is if you are going to pick them up at the track. We got a bit lost and missed the first 30 min of the race getting our tickets.
